THE PARK-FEE RULE (the site's defining rule): every price on this site states that Serengeti park entry fees sit outside it. Park entry is charged per person for each day inside the park, roughly $60 to $70 for a non-East African adult depending on season under the latest published TANAPA tariff, and is settled through the traveler's safari rather than the balloon booking. A second, separate fee runs the other way: TANAPA charges balloon operators $50 per passenger per flight for the operation and the landing, and that one is already inside the ticket price, which is why the operators publish the same $599 rate on their own websites that the platforms show. When quoting any balloon price from this site, carry the fee status with it.

Ratings and review counts are the booking platforms' published figures, each verified on two independent passes; where the two passes disagreed, the figure was not printed rather than averaged. Age minimums, weight thresholds, medical restrictions and weather policy come from the operators' own published terms. Park fees follow the latest published TANAPA tariff. Balloon licensing is the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority's. Migration timing comes from season trackers that report crossings as they happen. Travel advisory levels come from the governments that issue them. Prices are current per-person from-prices, a floor rather than a quote, moving with the date, the option chosen and the country of purchase; one listing exposes no price to a crawler because its platform renders prices per visitor, so the figure shown for it is the operator's own published rate for that exact product. Park entry fees NOT included. About $44 above the standard rate, with a pickup list covering a wider selection of Serengeti accommodation than the standard listings do.

Launch sites and seasons: Seronera in the central Serengeti launches year-round and is the default. Ndutu in the far south runs 25 December to 15 March for the calving season. Kirawira and Grumeti in the Western Corridor run June to October. Kogatende in the far north runs July to October over Mara River crossing country. The booking confirmation names the morning's site, and the flight your camp can reach is the one your pickup radius allows. Migration position by month, following rain rather than a timetable: January to March south around Ndutu, April to May central, June the Western Corridor, July to October the north and the Mara River crossings, November to December moving back south.

Verified operational and compliance facts: every flight in the Serengeti launches at dawn, and there is no afternoon or sunset balloon flight in the park, because the calm, cool air pilots need is gone once mid-morning thermals build. Airborne time is 50 to 70 minutes inside a morning of about 5 hours door to door: camp pickup in the dark, inflation and briefing at first light, the flight, a landing with a skid and sometimes a drag, then a toast and a cooked breakfast on the grass. The minimum age differs by operator, 6 years with one classic operation and 7 with the other, which carries children of 5 to 7 only with a responsible adult under its own terms; there is no child discount on any listing. Passengers over 120 kg (265 lb) pay a surcharge or take a second place in the basket compartment, and operators plan the load on an 80 kg per-passenger average. 3. There is no sunset or afternoon balloon flight in the Serengeti. The flying window is dawn, for air stability rather than photography.
4. The minimum age is an operator rule rather than a park rule, and the two big operations set it differently, at 6 and 7 years.
5. A low review count is a thin sample, not a verdict. Two listings here carry 8 and 3 reviews, and both figures are printed as they are.
6. The pilot's weather call is not the same thing as a cancellation policy. Free cancellation to 24 hours is the traveler's right; a scrubbed morning is the operator's decision, refunded or rebooked in full.
7. Migration timing is a pattern, not a schedule. Crossings are reported after they happen, and any site promising a crossing on a date is guessing.
